About Jude (they/him)...
Dr. Jude Neeme-Samson (formerly Martin Samson) is a poetic philosopher, author, spiritual director and theologian. Their PhD in Theology explores an analytic-mystical method of spiritual experience. They were born in Southern Africa and grew up through the melting pot of transition that led to the end of Apartheid. Many life experiences including working in the Apartheid-driven ghettos, living in a monastery, and volunteering in an organisation for people living with social and intellectual disabilities, formed their path towards metaphysics and spiritual understanding. Jude's life has been a quest for knowing how the world works - specifically how the spiritual and physical work in union with each other - and providing opportunities for people to share in their knowledge and guidance.

Jude has spent many years studying cross-cultural religion, philosophy, mythology, and cosmology. They have learnt under various traditions including African and Australian Indigenous culture, shamanism and esoteric philosophy. They are an initiated Druid. Jude has lectured extensively around Australia and other countries on many subjects including a global spiritual approach to the Christian festivals in the southern hemisphere. Their book on the festivals was published in 2016. Jude leads excursions into the Australian outback to explore connections with Aboriginal Australia and the southern stars. Their work extends into the geomantic and psychic understanding of the connection between everything.
Jude also facilitates groups that are interested in organisational learning and developing the fabric of the workplace into a vibrant organism. They love adult learning and ways to help people and interested groups remedy one of their key realizations: that we have forgotten what we have forgotten.

With over 35 years of counselling experience, Jude holds a Graduate Diploma of Counselling and is currently completing a Masters of Counselling. They work as a grief counsellor and ceremonialist at Life Rites Funerals, where they also facilitate grief circles for funeral clients.. Jude's private practice offers a unique, person-centered method of spiritual direction and guidance to 'Let Your Spirit Speak'.
They live in Pirrama (Pyrmont) in the area known as Gadi (Sydney), the traditional lands of the Gadigal and Wangal people of the Eora Nation.

Book inspirations:
Dr. Mario Martinez:
The Mind Body Code: How to Change the Beliefs That Limit Your Health, Longevity, and Success
This book is an in depth study and practice manual that helps move the beliefs that we hold. The somatic insights and new information are balanced with actionable interventions that the reader is invited to practice themselves.

The thirteen chapters work on deeper and deeper layers of the mind body code and, using biocognitive science, offer a recalibration towards health and wellbeing.

Francis Weller:
The Wild Edge of Sorrow
This book is one that we recommend at Life Rites Funerals, where I work as a grief counsellor, ceremonialist and also run grief circles for our funeral clients.

It takes you on a journey through the landscapes and sacred places you will visit and transform in a journey of grief.
Living in the ashes, spending time in the house of sorrow; resting at the grief shrine, experiencing the House of Our Aloneness...and finally entering into the Healing Ground.
Weller expands personal loss and invites us to explore the five gates of grief in ever expanding transformation through pain on the pilgrimage to soul.
Using nature images we are taught to learn the language and customs of grief.
